This app is an amazing value for 2.99! It doesnt matter if your are Puerto Rican or not, I guarantee you are going to have a great time with Parranda. It is not just fun, but functional too. Plug your iPod or iPhone to your sound system and instantly you will have the necessary ingredients for an authentic parranda at the touch of a button. On top of that, it works smoothly and has excellent design!

If u r Boricua living in the US and miss our little island this is a great app. I would give it 5 stars if it had lyrics to some of our parranda songs.

This app esta Brutal, bien a fuego!! But just a heads up to the developers V.3.2 released on 12/3/10 Looses audio intermittently and you literally dont get any sound at all coming from the app The work around i found is to power off and power phone back on and it seems to work fine again Ive tested it out with and without any other apps running on the background (iOS 4.1) but the problem persists :( Perhaps is a multitasking glitch Im recommending this app to all my colleagues !!please address this minor bug

This one features the basic instruments youd find in a Puerto Rican Xmas carollers kit. I expected plenera drums instead of bongos, the trombone is a cheesy MIDI iimitation with fixed tunes, and the cowbell pair wont be fast enough when you alternate them, but the basic grooves are there, and are pretty decent! So are the other instruments. Id love a tempo control and a tunable slider for each instrument, but this App is pretty cool... A portable asalto!!!

Add a button for the music tempo

Gave a class at a private school in Ocala, Florida on December 18,2013 and the High School students were very impressed with the development of the " Jibaro" music. I used the App to explain how to play each percussion instrument and how it varied thru the years. The App is awesome and when are you going to make one App for "Salsa" ?
